Based in Bridestowe Caroline was a parish councillor for 12 years, 6 of those as chair. She joined WDBC in 2015 and is the lead member for planning, and the Joint Local Plan. She is a District Councillor and was also acting Deputy Chair Membership and Fundraising from autumn ‘24 till June ‘25.
As mayor of West Devon she is hoping to raise awareness around the issues of mental health, in particular the farming industry and her charity is the Farming Community Network. Caroline has a keen interest in the natural environment and would like to see more done to protect it. She set up the local volunteer group which meets monthly to enhance the area around Bridestowe and also worked with the community during the lockdown by delivering shopping and other supplies to residents as required.
