Northam Ward
Jane Whittaker has been District Counsellor of Northam since May 2023. She retired from Torridge Council in 2019, a former leader and Northam councillor. After the sad passing of her partner, she returns to serve the public. She is an Alderman of Northam Town Council, Chairman of Northam Charities, a trustee for 20 years, a member of the Management Board of the Northam Care Trust which supports many Torridge families. Jane was Chairman of the Friends of the Burton and is an honorary Rotarian. Jane won her local election in May 2023 and serves the Northam Ward.
